On February 10, 2020, Global CINEMATHEQUE (GC) launched the World Cinema Awards with the presentation of the inaugural World Cinema Cultural Spotlight Award to UniFrance in Los Angeles, California.
GC Founder Jacqueline Lyanga and Co-Founder Jasmine Jaisinghani presented the award to newly appointed UniFrance executive director Daniela Elstner and UniFrance president Serge Toubiana at the Résidence de France in Los Angeles at a reception hosted by the Nathalie Soirat, Deputy Counsel General and Acting Consul General of France in in Los Angeles to celebrate the launch of the World Cinema Awards and France’s 2020 Oscar nominees.
